The Australian Mathematics Competition rewards genuine problem-solving. As a guide for families preparing for the AMC, we hold ourselves to the same standard of honesty that the competition asks of its students.
Honest information
We aim to describe the competition accurately and to check key facts against official sources. We do not misrepresent our relationship with the Australian Maths Trust or ASDAN: this is an independent China-region guide, not an official body, and we say so clearly.
Fair competition
We support the integrity of the AMC. We do not obtain, request or distribute live exam papers or answers before a competition, and we do not help anyone gain an unfair advantage. Sitting the paper honestly is the only way it counts.
Genuine preparation
The preparation we encourage is real practice: working past papers, reviewing worked solutions, and building understanding of the topics tested. Past papers are study tools, not a shortcut around learning. The best — and only legitimate — way to improve is to think through problems.
Respect for the competition
We respect the work of the Australian Maths Trust and the educators who design the AMC each year, and we encourage students, parents and teachers to do the same — by following the competition’s rules and instructions in full.
